YOU'LL HAVE A HOOT IN THE GIANT OWL maize maze

Come and explore our award-winning (Muddy Stilettos “Best Family Attraction” West Midlands & Warks 2023) 10 acre maze created entirely from 1,000,000 maize plants!

With a total of 3.9 miles of paths creating this year’s “amaizing” giant owl maze design, you are sure to have lots of fun navigating your way through the maze.  Armed with your maze map, activity card and game stickers, enjoy spending some wholesome time in the fresh air with your friends and family.  For little legs, there is the lovely mini owlet maze with 0.5 miles of paths which is incorporated into the main maize maze.

As you wander through the maze, there is a challenge to complete to enter our prize draw for Spooky Season tickets.  Breathe in the fresh air, enjoy some escapism, take advantage of some wonderful photo opportunities, and try not to get too lost!!!

Afterwards, enjoy relaxing in the picnic area whilst your little ones play in the giant sandpit or on the bale tower.  Light refreshments and locally produced ice cream are available to buy or feel free to bring your own picnic.

To monitor visitor numbers on site and avoid crowds at the entrance, we sell tickets online.

book tickets here

A limited number of tickets may be available on the gate (subject to a surcharge), but we are usually fully booked, and therefore highly recommend purchasing tickets online in advance.

We accept cash and card payments at Lichfield Maize Maze.

Ticket price includes free entry to the main and mini mazes, picnic and play area, sunflower area as well as a maze map and activity card.

Lichfield Sunflowers

Sunflowers are available to buy when they are in flower. Entry to the sunflowers is included in the maize maze ticket. A limited number of sunflower-only tickets are released but are only available online.  These tickets still allow access to the picnic and play area.

If you wish to pick your own sunflowers, we advise that you bring gloves, a bag and secateurs with you, although we may have a few spares that we can lend to you.

Children are not permitted to use secateurs on our site to cut sunflowers. Please do not try to snap the sunflowers, as this will damage them.

Spooky Season

We reopen in October with two brand new spooky maze games, pumpkin picking from our hidden pumpkin patch, a spooky sunflower walk, and the opportunity to visit our incredible PUMPKIN HOUSE!

All tickets must be booked online in advance as we anticipate tickets selling out quickly.

Please follow us on Facebook & Instagram for up to date information on opening dates and times, the sunflower progress and to find out when they are in bloom.
