Sompting is home to our massive 4 acre Maize Maze! Twist, turns and fun for the whole family. A journey into our maze is great fun for all and is full of bee facts, figures and bee sculptures!

Drinks and snacks are available and we have lots of space to picnic, run around, stroll and play. We have portable toilets and baby changing facilities on site.

Entry costs £6 but children under four go free. On-site parking is free.

Booking is advised as we get busy but you are welcome to turn up on the day. There may be a delay on entrance without a booking as there is a limit to numbers on site. Pre-book your maze visit via the website.

We planted plenty of sunflower seeds this year but had very dry weather, lots of very very hungry birds and no luck! So while there are some flowers to see and enjoy there are, unfortunately, not enough to pick!

Crafts and more

Make your own bubble wand, create your own tin can bee or dragon fly bird feeder and take a tin pail vase, fill it with sunflowers and add your bespoke design (additional charges apply).

There are photo opportunities galore and if you would like a professional photo shoot then we have a team ready and waiting!

Our Maize Maze is in the open air and the risk of transmission of COVID-19 is relatively low. There is also plenty of space to maintain social distancing between households. However, it is important that all of our visitors remain mindful of the social distancing rules and keep their families at a safe distance of 1m+ from others.

We will regularly disinfect surfaces people are likely to come into contact with, as well as other measures. There will be hand sanitiser points across the site. You may also find that some of our staff are wearing personal protective equipment whilst they work in order to minimise the risk to them and our visitors.

Our Maize Mazes, located in Fordingbridge and Sompting were redesigned following the COVID-19 outbreak so that all passages are COVID-19 compliant. All passages are 3m apart and there are no areas where groups come back on themselves and risk bumping into others. This means that with the new 1m+ rule, customers can walk either side of the path and still have 2m between them.
