Haguelands Maize Maze 

The 2010 Maize Maze is planted and growing! This year the maze is designed in the shape of a "Spitfire" to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. Join the fun quiz to see if you can "Find Your Wings" and see what kind of pilot you will become.

Torch-lit Evenings

Experience the thrill of a night maze every Saturday night from 4th September to 30th October. We open the Maze at dusk to the brave, last gate entries at 8:30pm. Try and conquer the Maize Maze by night. All you need to bring is a torch and your wits. Hot food will be available. For further details or to book tickets call 07515 932601.

Grand Opening: 10th July

The Maize Maze will be opening, weather permitting, so come down and be one of the first to conquer the maze. The Fun Yard will be open as well as the Bistro, Eating Hut and Farm Shop so there's plenty to do.

The History of Haguelands Village and the Marsh Maize Maze

Haguelands farm shop opened in the summer of 2006, sourcing and offering the best Kent has to offer. Since then we have added a fishmonger, restaurant, conference/function room, cookery school, working vegetable garden, farmers markets held on the 1st Sat of every month and most recently the Marsh Maize Maze.

The maze has moved from its old site to ours here at Haguelands Village and we have added many new features. We now offer a giant maze, a mini maze, more interactive games in our fun-yard, a large sandpit fitted with metal detectors, many more structures in our maze for you to climb on your adventure, animal trails, two picnic areas, an eating hut, many interesting farm animals, including our herd of Alpaca's. All adding up to a whole lot of fun!!!

The creation of the maize maze

The maize is planted in April to ensure it reaches it full height ready for the maze opening in July. Once we have designed the maze we cut the pathways and with plenty of sunshine and rain we cross our fingers that the maize reaches over 6ft tall in time for opening. We find that Rain Dances help too.
