The Maize Maze at Cawthorne

Get Lost!!  Not what you usually say to visitors, but we hope you will at The Maize Maze at Cawthorne..

Each year we create a whole new design and puzzle for a great family day out. This year the United Nations have declared 2010 The International Year of Biodiversity. Our farm is set in beautiful countryside next to Cannon Hall Country Park and Deffer Wood. So we have chosen to celebrate the rich diversity of wildlife around us with the puzzle in the design of a deer - "A Deffer Deer".

We will give you a map with your quiz, (but we hope you won't use it) - this is an old fashioned playstation game really - it can be done on many levels.  Our team of fantastic Maze Masters watch over you from gallery bridges, helping  if required; so that you have time to enjoy all the other traditional games and puzzles.

We hope to create a village fete atmosphere for you, where you don't have to keep putting your hand your pocket! - only the a tractor and trailer ride with Farmer Jim to see the cows at the farm is extra at a £1.  Let the children play like we used to; Pedal Go Karts, Hoppers, Bales, Giant Jenga, to name but a few.  There is a real BBQ every day offering homemade burgers, hot and cold drinks and to finish your day off our own farm made Maizie Moo Ice-Cream. (subject to weather). Bring a torch with good batteries
